Inflamed Tears

Menacing grey clouds in darkened sky above silhoutted trees

Menacing

grey clouds

impersonate

oppressive

fear and sadness.

Streaked vibrant blue sky with powerful explosion

Power
struggles

traverse time

raging
past

speeding
through
now.

Impoverished

crumbling roads

delivered
or denied?

Resentments
deepen

both sides
of the gorge.

Cloudy orange sky above silhoutted trees appears smokey and on fire

Tornados, floods
wildfires —
storms

of all breeds

do
what they do.

The suffering
lies
within.

Will we
awaken

or persist
blaming
the facade?

Egregious weight
forces God’s people
to their knees

one way or the other
believers or not.

Struck
to fall
decumbent,

then back
or forward —

the choice
is always
ours.

Distinctively
accountable

for stories
and parts thereof

intimidation

exasperation

devitalization

appreciation…

All hands are in it.
Can we finally join them?

Hope

is

the power

lifting us
from subversion.

Blue sky with heart-shaped cloud

Love

is hard

devouring fire

exhausted

that’s all that is left

to do.

  1. Yes the mask representing silencing… Its a complex mixture and if we sat too long we would go bonkers… You might find this WordPress site interesting I came across it yesterday as a site I follow reblogged it… You have to put two and two together and see the bigger picture and agenda going on https://themarshallreport.wordpress.com/2020/06/10/take-a-knee-heck-they-took-the-legs/
The virus didn’t work as planned now civil war is trying to be sparked… Here also… Authorities are taking down statues clergy are bending knees… the Symbolism shouts out to me .. Next it will be UFO and Project Blue Beam…
Like wise with masks, and how you feel…. I try to let it wash through me, though its not easy given you can see beyond what is coming.. 😢

  2. Ah, thanks Sue. 🌈 Now, if I only had a way/place to save them.

While still awaiting my dear old PC, I got wrapped up in some commentary last night about America’s situation. One could go bonkers with all this but I’m pleased to say I found my way to a few people who made a lot of sense, and one couple made me laugh so much I can’t tell you how good it felt after 12 days of nightmarish scenes. 🤗

I don’t enjoy going to stores anymore while wearing a mask. Truly, I dislike it and could even throw in some resentment with a slight push. 😏 Hope your experience next week is much more pleasant!

  4. I am also self-taught for tech which means I probably use it at 25% capacity…just enough to accomplish what I want to do. I just took my PC into the shop today….and often find myself murmuring (particularly when experiencing tech problems), “think of all the time I had before tech came around.” Things were certainly more laid back and peaceful. And yes, I wish WP were more friendly to its non-tech and/or older bloggers. I thought I saw somewhere that you could still use classic but if you do it’s a forever decision and they won’t let you go back to even dabble in Gutenberg. So, I’ve been giving it a try but not without glitches. 😟 (I’ve been copying your emoticons.) 🙂

  5. Haha….. Technology took me a long while as I am self taught!!… And I still have lots to learn.. Not looking forward to he new editor installation being forced upon us here… I withheld as long as possible.. Change I am told for the better… Wish they would sort a few of their gremlins in the works out though like placing perfect comments into spam, and not giving alerts to comments made… But we humans have to bemoan something or other lol….. And these are by far the least of worries… 🙂 when the World is disintegrating into its planned New World Role… 😟

  7. Thank you for your thoughtful commentary, as always, Sue. 🙂 (WP/Gutenberg haven’t been too cooperative as I almost didn’t see your comment but so appreciate your taking the time and sharing your thoughts.

It’s also become all apparent to me that for anything to change, we need to stop dissecting everything and change the dialogue to “we” and “us” rather than they or them. Instead of “hate” crimes, a crime is a crime. Instead of black lives matter, all lives matter. Sadly, the wheels turn ever so slowly but I suppose if we have a chance for positive change, now is the time.

I do understand what you mean about not being a “religious” person but are spiritual. My family offered me a Presbyterian then Methodist foundation which I am glad to have had as a moral base. However, my curiosity led me to Buddhism and a few peeks at Judaism and Catholocism. The Tao resonates most with me now but I feel free to always explore. It does not matter to me what forms of religion or spirituality others practice as long as they are not trying to control me and are not based on violence or hate.

I’ve looked up the passage you recommended and do agree. I also happen to be re-reading “Brave New World Revisited” which also rings true about our state of affairs. Sadly.

(I haven’t known how to make those emoticons like you do, so I’m boomeranging healing thoughts and Love your way ❤ too! 🙂

  8. Argh… I feel your words of your poem WG… When will people awake that it is WE who create!…. We Whose Intent, and focus brings about our experiences..
    Good, Bad, and Indifferent…
We have no fingers to point other than towards ourselves.. Until we each find that place within our own hearts to open up in none judgement, anger, hatred, greed, jealousies, control, and we take a good long look in our own mirrors to change our own ways…
Then the Storms will keep on raging WG… Even though there are a few whose LOVE is aimed at devouring the Fire…. It will take more tornadoes and turbulence and destruction before those who are blind begin to see…

I am not what you call a religious person… More Spiritual if you get me.. which I am sure you do, though I have had been brought up in the Methodist, studied the Bible etc … I saw a picture quote today which resonated.. I will not type it out.. You will find it if you google it in images..
But it came from Ephesians 6:12: I found that spoke volumes.. ❤ 🙏
Sending thoughts and Love your way ❤
