I’ve often said be careful of what you place into your mind because it often comes to fruition. During the covid lockdowns, I’ve been reading more. A friend offered a copy of Orwell’s Animal Farm and 1984. While interesting, its probably not the best bedtime reading nor during 2020 as they (along with Aldus Huxley’s Brave New World Revisited) are playbooks about controlling the masses. Actually, I’m beginning to wonder if 2020’s events are replicating these books because of the millions who have read them.
Here’s just one of many startling excerpts from 1984:
“The real power, the power we have to fight for night and day, is not power over things, but over men… Obedience is not enough… Power is in inflicting pain and humiliation. Power is in tearing human minds to pieces and putting them together again in new shapes of your own choosing. Do you begin to see, then, what kind of world we are creating?…A world of fear and treachery and torment, a world of trampling and being trampled upon, a world which will grow not less but more merciless as it refines itself…
“The old civilizations claimed that they were founded on love or justice. Ours is founded upon hatred. In our world there will be no emotions except fear, rage, triumph, and self-abasement. Everything else we shall destroy — everything. Already we are breaking down the habits of thought…We have cut the links between child and parent, and between man and man, and between man and woman…”
1984 a Few Decades Later
See anything familiar? For me, it conjures up:
- Anarchists and violent protests
- BLM agenda to eliminate family values
- Covid-19’s mandates against human contact
- Big Tech’s push of their agenda and censorship of free speech
- People becoming programmed through cell phone addiction
- Relentless efforts to oust the President who speaks for patriots who love America
- Rewriting history
- People swallowing the media’s incessant propaganda
- Humiliation of our culture through destroying statues and literature
- False narratives
- Employees fired for their free thought
- Children calling their parents racists
- A loss of compassion and caring in the youth
- The intense hatred in our country…
Yes, my heart is heavy. Not because I am a Trump fan but because I love America. And there are no two ways around it — this is a bogus election. I have never done well with being forced into anything and 2020 has become exactly that. If this election was won truly fair and square, I could accept it. But, it hasn’t, and I cannot ignore the truth about trampling on our rights.
Shreds of Truth Amidst Despair
Perhaps it was only a matter of time until a steady diet of information such as in these books would become real. Here’s a few chilling tidbits of current reality:
Censorship on SM is rampant against speaking out on the election or for supporting Trump’s efforts. Notice how your (non-abusive) commentary is being squashed, freedom of speech trampled on.
This is why the Dems want to eliminate the electoral college and further undermine our country: “The Constitution makes Congress the ultimate arbiter determining which candidate wins each state. Congress must approve certificates of election from all 50 states. You may have thought November 3rd was the most important date on the election calendar. But a more crucial date is December 14, dictated by an obscure, Byzantine, 1887 law: The Electoral Count Act.”
Quarantine is locking up sick people. Tyranny is locking down healthy people. A Paris friend said they are now only allowed out for one hour a day and their pass must be date/time stamped.
I question is this really what people want to see in America….and worldwide?
And if that’s not enough to scare you to wake-up, maybe this will:

We are on the same page, Lisa. I too have said, “Be careful what you wish for.” There is a wonderful Tao story called Sai Ong Loses Horse which relates to exactly that. I, too, am praying that God will answer many prayers to restore our nation to goodness. Warm wishes to you.

I have often said “be careful what you wish for”.
I also believe in God, and never in my life have I prayed like I am praying now.
I hope and pray we will be at peace in our hearts during these troubled times 🙏🏻🤗
