Reflections are tendrils to the soul…

As summer closes its door, September is always my time of annual reflection…both contemplating events of the past year and what I hope for the next. More than the one commonly celebrated on January 1st, September is my New Year.
This Month’s Changing Focus Blogging Challenge
Hope you’ll share some of your reflections in this month’s Changing Focus blogging challenge be it whatever interpretation and format you prefer — photos, narrative, lyrics. Just add Changing Focus as a tag and provide a link to your response in a comment on this post before September 25th when highlights will be posted.
Other Reflections from the Archives of my Mind and Photos:

“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.” ― Søren Kierkegaard

The world we see is a mirror of our thoughts…we mirror back what we see…when “you spot it, you got it,” meaning if you can see it in someone else you must know it in yourself.
“The closer you come to knowing that you alone create the world of your experience, the more vital it becomes for you to discover just who is doing the creating.” ― Eric Micha’el Leventhal
Reflection, to me, also means deep thinking, strong consideration. Sadly, a bewildering undercurrent promulgated and proliferated by Big Tech, SM and MSM redefines critical thinking as conspiratorial, erroneously labeling it evil rather than expansive. This costly convenience of instant but biased answers catalyzes cancel culture and suffocating censorship. Erasing history erases the ability to look deeply, contemplate and understand.

Nature offers beauty everywhere. Just look. See deeply. Think. And reflect.

“Reflect upon your present blessings — of which every man has many — not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.” ― Charles Dickens
Looking forward to seeing your reflections…

Kudos to you for reaching into the depths of your creativity and offering a multi-media response! What a challenge to say the least! 🙂

P.S. Ah, I found the second photo — it was called Fences and Gates. Also, I attempted to comment on your post but without a Google account it would not accept it…

Apologies. I thought I responded to your entry for this month’s blogging challenge on Reflections but, alas, my non-tech skills cannot locate it. First, thank you for your interest and taking time to respond. Secondly, I love the interplay of colors in the salt field photo… Lastly, I recall when I originally viewed your response there was another black/white photo underneath the salt field one in a “Related” section that I also loved (a sunlit reflection in between tall sticks in water) but it is missing from that post now….? No matter what, your photography skills are stunning and thank you for sharing such beauty! Warmest wishes to you —

I forgot to mention the bottom photo is a view I am blessed with from my kitchen window each June when the rhododendron are in bloom. I do thank God for eyes to see such beauty and the intellect to appreciate how much it fills my soul. 🙂
