As a young child, I could barely fall asleep knowing that Santa would arrive sometime through the night. As an adult, I easily fall asleep but sleeping deeply through the night is a rarity.
The main reason I blog is to connect with others, and if I can help even in a small way, all the better.
I am pleased this month’s Changing Focus Blogging Challenge on Rest, Sleep, and Hibernation inspired Maria Berg to conquer her sleep issue. Perhaps the soothing sounds, reading material and techniques for pleasant dreams she’s posted on her Experience Writing blog will help you too. And to add in a bit of fun, she’s included a photo of her sleeping gingerbread man.
Kaushal Kishore’s written a lovely poem on Sleep. You can read many of his other thought provoking poems on his blog.
If you are partaking of Christmas festivities today, or if ccp/covid limitations mean hibernation, I wish you contentment, and time to rest and ponder Stan Laurel’s timely quote:
I had a dream I was awake, and I woke up to find myself asleep. — Stan Laurel
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
